Those are the words of Jere Thompson Jr., chair of the board of trustees for the Southwestern Medical Foundation, a public charitable corporation that advances progress in medicine in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
The six new board members, per a press release, "bring new inspiration to our vision, and we are grateful for their service."
Among them are Ken Hersh, co-founder and former CEO of NGP Energy Capital Management; Joan Buchanan Hill, head of school at the Lamplighter School in Dallas; Christopher Kleinert, president and CEO of Mansefeldt Investments; Marshall Payne, CEO of First Financial Bankshares; and Jennifer Scripps, CEO of Scripps Ranch, per the Dallas Morning News.
"Our board plays a crucial role in how we advance the medical community across our growing region," Michael McMahan, president and CEO of the foundation, said in a statement.
